The folks at the Chicago Architecture Biennial have put together a robust, well-designed and chock-full-of-good stuff teaching guide for teachers, adults or kids. We recommend it for your journey into using architecture as the subject of your inquiry.
The guide explains why architecture is a great medium for learning a lot of different subjects, and it also offers ideas for exploring the built environment.
archKIDecture participated in the Chicago Architecture Biennial’s 2021 program, which was titled “The Available City.” We made these cool building tiles and sat in some public parks with our materials and had kids and adults come by and build projects with us. Here are a few photos of the experience. Thanks to the CAB and the kids and adults who supported the project.
