Lucky kids who live in New Rochelle will be able to attend a workshop series about architecture called ArchforKids
Programming will take place on July 16, 17, 19, and 20, 2018 and also on August 20, 21, 23 and 24, from 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm for kids aged 7-12 years old.
Two four-day “Draw It, Design It, Build It” architecture workshops will allow kids to “investigate, explore, measure, estimate, design, draw, calculate, construct and have a great time solving problems with creativity and smarts!”
Kids will do a few things:
- create replicas of some of New Rochelle’s downtown buildings
- construct a structure strong enough to support a soccer ball
- build bridges
- design a chair
- re-think and re-design the Ruby Dee Park in Library Green
- build models
What cool ideas and how exciting to be a part of these programs.
