Isamu Noguchi was an American artist who made sculptures, furniture and who designed spaces as well. So he was not a trained architect, he did not go to school for architecture, but he still designed plazas, playgrounds, and even his own museum, located in Long Island City, New York. This table pictured above is one of the most famous things that he ever designed. It represents a period of design called “mid-century modern”.
Author Christy Hales wrote a book about the childhood of Isamu Noguchi, titled The East West House. She also created this small project to make a mini Noguchi table.
